Installation: NEW! Schuette® Suprafix 2-in-1 “Letsbond” adhesive & screw holders provide the strongest hold ever achieved with adhesive mounting. They can be mounted on both sides and virtually anywhere — on windows, doors, glazing beads (minimum depth 20 mm, for honeycomb pleated blinds: 30 mm), frames, walls, shelves, and much more. Can be installed either with adhesive or with screws.

Schuette® pleated blinds are in NO WAY comparable with cheap DIY store pleated blinds & Chinese blinds!
Beware of copycats: For some time now, bad counterfeits of our Schuette pleated blinds have unfortunately been offered under other brand names. These can often be recognized by the fact that similar photos, descriptions or even the term "Premium" or the "" symbol are used in the title. Pleated Blind light values explained by colour

The Pleated Blind fabrics are determined by 3 basic parameters. The sum of light transmission, light reflection and light absorption is always 100% and refers to the light and solar energy that passes through your window pane.

Light permeability / light transmission (T)

Describes the penetration of light through the fabric (the lower the percentage value, the less light and heat passes through the fabric into the room, i.e. the darker the room is)

Light reflection (R)

Describes the reflection of sunlight to the outside (the higher the value, the more light the fabric reflects. The more light and heat a fabric reflects, the less enters the room.)

Light absorption (A)

Describes the light absorbed by the fabric and converted into heat energy (the higher the value, the more heat the fabric absorbs. The absorbed heat is then gradually released back into the room by the fabric)

The opaque Premium quality is available in a wide colour range of more than 25 shades: from fashionable greys to classic white, beige and brown tones, rounded off with expressive, intense colours.

Good to know:

A typical fabric property is that the fabric colours from all collections can appear different under varying weather and light conditions. Premium & Thermo White Day have different shades of white due to the thermal heat protection coating.

The concertina-folded Pleated Blind fabric is fitted with cords on the inside and is moved using the handles on the profile rails. Firm, secure, spring-optimised Pleated Blind tensioning. Double cording for increased stability.

How does the Up & Down Pleated Blind system work?

Operating Pleated Blinds and opening and closing them is extremely simple.

Simply take hold of the handle attached to the aluminium profile and move it upwards (if you want to cover the upper part of the window)
or downwards (if you want to cover the lower part of the window).

This distributes the fabric evenly, covers the window and protects the interior from sunlight.

Measuring the window

Finding the right Pleated Blind dimensions – our guide

The pleated blinds for gluing or with drilling are made to measure, with the 2-in-1 adhesive mount designed primarily for installation on the glazing bead, frame or wall. We recommend one of the following instructions for measuring your Schuette® pleated blind:

a) Best choice – pleated blinds for sticking onto window frames/sashes from the front

How to measure for pleated blinds for glueing on window frames

Width of the glazing bead + 1 to 3 cm on the left and right

Height of glazing bead

b) Pleated blind for sticking to the window frame/glass strip

How to measure for pleated blinds for glueing on the inner frame

Good to know:

(For very steeply bevelled glazing beads): Measure the width halfway down the glazing bead from right to left. Do not deduct anything from this measurement. This prevents you from ordering a pleated blind that is too narrow. The width you order is the actual width of the pleated blind.

For honeycomb pleated blinds, a glass strip with a minimum depth of 30 mm is required for glass strip installation. For conventional pleated blinds, 20 mm is sufficient.
