Pleated fabric

We have invested a lot of time in our Oekotex certified pleated fabric, as it was very important to us to test it under the most different aspects for you and to find one of the best. We have put together a selection of 4 collections for you in our pleated store with a total of over 40 vibrant and stylish fabric colours. All fabrics are made locally and with attention to detail. The fabric of your pleated blinds will therefore be of the same high quality as the rest of the modern pleated blinds. When attaching the fabric to the profile rails, we pay attention to factors such as firm tensioning and double lacing, which prevents the fabric from sagging and ensures that the pleated blinds will adorn your windows for many years and generations to come. This also includes the properties of the fabric itself. Therefore, the profile rails do not bend even with wide pleated blinds. Only with widths over 150cm can there be a minimal bending in the middle of the profile rail. However, this does not affect the functionality of the pleated blinds in any way. Not only is it UV-protected, which prevents the fabric or your furniture from fading after prolonged use, but it is also 100% opaque in every colour. Your privacy is very important to us. Because we want you to feel comfortable in your home at all times of the day!

Differences in the fabric collections

You can choose from a total of 4 different collections: Premium, Melange, Dolomite and Thermo. Premium, Melange and Dolomite differ only in the structure or pattern of the fabric. Premium is monochrome and Dolomite is visually very similar to a linen material due to the patterning. The Melange collection not only has horizontal fibres like the Dolomite collection, but also vertical ones, which is why a fine chequered pattern appears. The Thermo collection differs from the other 3 collections in that it has a specially developed silver coating on the outside, which reflects the sunlight and thus significantly less heat enters the room. It was crucial for us to bring a fabric with properties such as heat protection into our range. We want to be as good a complement to your home as possible, so that when installed in the bedroom, for example, it is much easier to fall asleep. However, the Thermo collection does not only serve its purpose as sun protection in summer: the Thermo collection is also very helpful in winter, as the additional coating prevents the cold from coming in so quickly and retains the heated air in the room for longer. The Thermo sun pleated blind for windows is not a blackout pleated blind. Nevertheless, the Thermo pleated blind is more opaque than the other pleated blind collections. Apart from the optical differences, we also have more detailed information on each collection and colour in our product images: the light values. These are determined by 3 basic parameters:

• Light transmission - the penetration of light through the fabric (the lower the percentage value, the less light passes through the fabric into the room i.e. the darker it is in the room).
• Light reflection - the reflection of light by the fabric (the higher the value, the more light is reflected outside the room, i.e. the brighter the colour appears from the outside).
• Light absorption - the light absorbed by the fabric and converted into heat energy (the higher the value, the more heat the fabric emits into the room)

Attention. White Day is available in the Premium collection as well as Thermo. Despite the same fabric name, the two shades of white have different undertones. Furthermore, a common fabric characteristic is that fabric colors from all collections may appear different in varying weather and light conditions. Finding the right dimensions - our guide

Pleated blinds with drilling are mounted on the glazing bead. They are attached to the glazing bead with the help of 2 mountings each at the top and bottom. Therefore, we recommend the following guide to measure for your Schuette® pleated blind:

• Width = glass width including sealing rubber - 0.3 cm
• Height = glass height including sealing rubber + 1 cm

A perfect fit is guaranteed with these short instructions! Tip: If you only want to cover a part of the window pane, you can enter these measurements in our pleated blind configurator and add the pleated blind to the shopping cart. Next, please enter the cord length (= window glass height + 1 cm) at the bottom of the shopping cart in the comment field for the order. Our production team will gladly take this into account for you!
