Schuette® blackout curtains - Bring cosiness to any room!
Schuette® curtains can be used on both large and small windows and give rooms a cosy, inviting look. They provide privacy and effectively protect against unwanted light, but that's not all.
Choose the right shade for your home from the many possible colours and use it to create a skilful accent. Colours such as red, black or brown create a warm, cosy atmosphere, while crisp tones such as pink, light green and blue look fresh and modern. Cream, light grey or white are ideal if you want to keep your furniture classic.
Simply draw the curtains so that nobody can see in. Especially in winter, when the evenings are long and dark, you can create more comfort. In addition to the benefits already mentioned, a blackout curtain also absorbs unwanted noise from outside and protects against cold draughts. So you get the benefits of several products in one curtain.
Create a luxurious atmosphere in your home.
The Schuette® curtain from the Century Black collection does not fade over time, but retains its colour even when exposed to daily sunlight. A cosy atmosphere and inviting style are particularly important in living rooms. In the bedroom, they not only create a cosy atmosphere, but also block out particularly annoying sunlight or disturbing street lighting for deep, undisturbed sleep.
Blackout curtains can therefore provide exactly what you need to create the perfect atmosphere. Bring a little more cosiness into your home and enjoy the luxurious look of curtains. With opaque curtains, your home becomes a place where you feel at ease - and can shut yourself off from the outside world when you feel like it.
Attachment to curtain poles and curtain rails
- Our sewing workshop equips Schuette® curtains with a multifunctional curtain tape. This allows the curtains to be hung on sturdy curtain poles and curtain rails made of wood, plastic or metal as well as on a (curtain) rail system. The hooks, glides or rings of the rail system are hooked into the curtain tape.
- For the length of curtain poles or rail systems, it is advisable to allow for an overhang of at least 20-30 cm on each side of the window opening. For a 200 cm wide window (or window opening), you should choose a 240-260 cm long rail or rod so that the curtain panels hang neatly at the sides and do not interfere.
- This overhang of the curtain rod and rail system at the sides also ensures that the curtain achieves optimum blackout performance for the room.
Fabric superiority: Century Black collection
Our Century Black collection is characterised by its robust plain weave, which is rounded off by the highest level of craftsmanship. These blackout curtains not only offer excellent light transmission, sound insulation and blackout blackout properties, but also a soft, supple touch and a subtle lustre. The even pleats ensure a sophisticated appearance and the fabric remains crease-free. Don't compromise on functionality and style and opt for the chic Century Black collection instead.
True blackout artists
Thanks to the carefully selected fabric, a very high degree of blackout is achieved. Our curtains darken every room in the house. This makes it possible to create an ideal environment for sleeping, working or relaxing at any time, regardless of the light conditions outside.
Stylish acoustic upgrade
The tightly woven blackout fabric contributes to sound insulation and improved room acoustics. Sound waves are absorbed and the sound level in the room and outside noise are reduced. They screen out noise both in the bedroom and in the living room (= sound insulation and noise reduction) and invite you to enjoy harmonious room acoustics.
Energy-efficient thermal effect
Schuette® blackout curtains also provide an effective thermal effect and are energy-efficient, as they reduce the exchange of heat and cold at the window. In summer, they keep the heat out and ensure a more pleasant indoor climate. Rooms heat up much more slowly. They are also extremely helpful in winter, as they keep the heat in the room for longer and therefore require less heating.
Versatile blaze of colour
The Schuette® Century Black fabric collection comprises 10 attractive and timeless colours. Our aesthetic colour tones and the elegant appearance of the luxurious plain weave are real eye-catchers and quickly and skilfully enhance rooms. From understated neutrals such as white, grey and beige to sumptuous jewel tones such as a deep ruby red - everything from subtle and elegant to striking and glamorous.
Craftsmanship without compromise
Every one of our neatly finished seams contains a lot of heart and the highest level of craftsmanship, rounded off by enormous precision. Every Schuette® blackout curtain is subject to strict quality control by our master seamstress and is sewn by hand. Especially for you and for your home, because we know what home means. Strong seams, clean edges and even pleats are guaranteed.

Finding the right dimensions - our guide
- Width = (width to be covered) x 2. Then divide the resulting measurement by the required number of curtains.
- Height = height from the floor to the curtain pole +4cm
Example of width: 150 cm x 2 = 300 cm. For two curtain valances 300 : 2 = 150 cm per scarf; for three curtain valances 300 : 3 = 100 cm per scarf, etc.
In the above measuring instructions, the height is always measured in the same way, even for different widths. The curtain extends to the floor. If a different length is preferred and the scarf should not touch the floor, but only reach to the window sill, for example, the height should be measured and specified from the curtain pole to the desired position.
